VIDEO: Network Lock in Medication Cabinet

Cygnus is proud to offer the most advanced locking system in the industry. The NetLock allows caregivers to access the cabinets while utilizing their existing prox cards. No keys to carry or codes to memorize.

Our NetLock offers ease of use combined with advanced features including network management, audit trail and easy installation.

Both the web-based interface as well as the proprietary software gather data from all the cabinets so you know who was in what cabinet. The locks can be easily configured, tracked and administered over the internet or over the LAN.

Our NetLock connects directly to the data network via existing LAN wiring. The controllers are “true network devices” designed using IP standards and technology.

The streamlining of installation, maintenance and integration results in significant cost-savings.

Advantages over old-fashioned, panel-based access control:
• TCP / IP Direct Connectivity
• Open System built with MS Windows
• Reads HID proximity cards
• Power Over Ethernet built in

POWER OPTIONS (field selectable)
• PoE, 12 volts, 24 volts
• Operating current is <200 mA at peak @ 12v

READ RANGE
• 2” – 5” typical read range on RFID cards (depending on tag form factors)
• <250 msec

OPERATING FREQUENCY
• 125 kHz (dual modulation, FSK & ASK)

COMMUNICATION INTERFACE
• Ethernet, TCP/IP, standard RJ45, Interrupt driven
• RS232 interface to connect serial devices like pin pads
• Power reset button cycles power on reader – no need to disconnect wires.
• Reset to factory defaults button - if communication is lost, reader can be quickly reconnected.

• Power output - excess power from the PoE circuit is available to power other devices like the electronic lock. The available power is at least 0.5 amps at 12 volts.
• Field flashing - Flash the microcode on any reader, anywhere on the network.
• ASYNCH network communications - The reader is not polled.
• Local Mode feature set –Allows more installations to operate in Local Mode. Results in faster user response times, less network traffic, and reduced host system loading.

OUTPUTS
• Two TTL outputs (active high), one relay output (for electric strike)

MONITOR INPUTS
• Three available inputs for door sense (normally closed), request for exit (REX, normally open) and an optional input for flexibility (AUX, normally open)

VISUAL INDICATORS
• Two LED indicators signal the reader-controller’s current status.
• Network LEDs show the reader is connected and is receiving and transmitting data.

STANDALONE CAPABILITY
• Capable of storing 64,000 cardholders, 5000 access events and 32 time zones which can be configured and accessed by an external host system
• For non-networked installations, supports standalone programming with three special cards; add, void, & void – all.

PROTECTION
• Optical tamper switch and internal power up diagnostics

NETWORK ABILITY
• LAN, driven by a powerful Windows host program

HID-enabled to read a variety of HID cards:
• Proxcard II • ISOProx II • DuoProx II • Smart DuoProx II
• iCLASS Prox • Proximity and MiFare • Proxkey II • MicroProx
• DuoProx • PhotoProx
